My first apartment was filled with picture frames. They covered nearly every available surface. Our first house did not feel right until I hung the photo wall going up the stairs. But, strangely enough, now 10 years later I have framed a photo only a handful of times. As is the trend, our photos are stored in a phone, not on a shelf.
What got me out of this rut, was a suggestion from Gretchen Rubin’s book Happier at Home. The idea is simple, yet brilliant-display photos of past Holidays as your decor. The photos will rotate every month or so, so they will always be fresh. I adore reminiscing about past costumes and the fun we had creating them. It feels like an easier version of a scrapbooking to me!
