We can all use some words of encouragement from time to time. I’ll be first in line to receive them, especially when it come’s to parenting. So many things can come as road blocks in the world of motherhood; what to say, how to help, dealing with my own guilt, feeling angry. Somedays, I can run thru all the emotions in the span of about 10 minutes. Can you relate?
But in the end I always want my kids to know that I love them. I love them when they are mad. I love them when they are not their best selves. I love them always, no matter what. I’m sure I don’t always say it or certainly act like it, but I always feel it. Always.
I came across a card the other day that has such a perfect way of saying what I feel. I bought one for each son and hung it in a prominent place in each of their rooms. I’m not expecting it to solve everything or anything, really. But it can be a little reminder for both myself and my kids that they really are perfect every single second of the day.
For me, it’s a good reminder to always be mindful and act from a place of love. Do you have a favorite quote displayed in your home? I’d love for you to share it in the comments.
