Continent Research Worksheets

We’ve got continent research printables to fit your every need. There are printables to use with any continent and printables to use with specific continents. The beauty is they are all the same (or very similar ) format, so when kids complete one, they can be very independent in completing the others.

Features of the first set:

  • Kids learn basic geography
  • Learn about native plants and animals
  • Allows kids to do some drawing and coloring to show the information they found.

Less Drawing, More Research

The second set of Continent Research Printables (All of the above – that’s 11 printables- are included to be used over and over again for one low price here.)requires a bit more research and a little less drawing – which suits some kids, just fine!

My kids use a beginning atlas to help find the names of countries, bodies of water and plants and animals. Our last resort is an ipad. Even if your kids or students have access to a computer, I believe the skill of looking for information in a research book is really underrated.

More skills to be practiced: I love that these worksheets help with research skills, the visual skill of copying and common and proper nouns, too.

Helpful Resources for Continent Research

We love these research books to help kids do their continent research:

National Geographic World Atlas – simple atlas perfect for kids

Where On Earth Atlas – awesome information on native animals and landmarks, along with all the regular atlas stuff.

Lonely Planet Kids Travel Book – (Pictured Above) lots of great info about most of the countries in the world.
