The beauty is they are all the same (or very similar ) format, so when kids complete one, they can be very independent in completing the others.

My kids use a beginning atlas to help find the names of countries, bodies of water and plants and animals. Our last resort is an ipad. Even if your kids or students have access to a computer, I believe the skill of looking for information in a research book is really underrated.
