Reading Challenge Bingo
Summer reading bingo is a great way to challenge your reader over the summer because it not only gives kids a choice, it stretches kids to interact with books in new and fun ways – perfect for summer time.
Using a bingo board, kids can try to complete a row in a week or month or go for a round robin or perhaps complete the whole board by the end of the summer.
Be sure to make trips to the library or second hand book store to have plenty of reading material on hand.
Motivate kids by participating in reading bingo yourself! Keep the bingo board in a public place for all to see, make plan for certain squares and cross of activities as they are completed.

Habit Trackers
Want to help your kids develop some good habits over the summer?
We’ve got some fun – and FREE! – habit trackers to help make it fun for your kids as they track their new habit. Being able to see their progress visually will help cheer them on. This way, the more they do, the more colored in smiley faces they’ll have.
Some Good habits to track:
- Reading 30 minutes a day
- Taking a hike
- Creative time
- Practicing tennis
- Having phone free evenings
- Practicing math facts
- Eating 5 fruits and veg a day
- The list is endless…….
Don’t worry about doing something EVERYday. Just begin tracking when you do practice a habit and it will surely snowball into something you do on a regular basis.
This is a great start to a summer filled with learning activities.
